Updating Me: A Personal Reboot
As I begin the process of updating my bios, sites, presentations and other content I realize how much data there is out there in the social web about me. Unlike most women, I have no fears about my images, I've found a few unflattering and a few that I consider so beautiful that I wished I knew they existed before today. I'm lucky to find more flattering images than those I would consider not so much, but that is the nature of the social web I weave. Recently I've decided to join a few old networks (ie Yelp) and update those I've had for years but haven't gone back to them to update in a few years (linkedin, plaxo, myspace & etc) as I begin my personal reboot.
There are so many cool new tools that should be aggregated and connected to my personal site. Today I will begin the process of that integration. There are decades of my work that I will be integrating here. I will be changing the site name to A Tech Swirl, as a result. You will find old blog posts from various sites, articles, news clippings, video, audio, radio and other sources of content by or about me.
Hopefully, this will be the main source of aggregated content on ShireenMitchell.com through flickr, facebook, friendfeed, youtube, vimeo, amplify, twitter and so many others. I've spoken at a huge variety of conferences across the country, gave voice to those missing from the conversation, arranged and have spoken on panels, organized events and so much more. Hopefully you will be able to get a glimpse of it all here.
Look for the updates, some will be a random sticky to the main page but please excuse the errors you see as I Refresh Me! ;)
